I'd just like to point out that MLK is the only person other then a president to get a holiday. There are hundreds of other people in our history who did more then him and yet they have no holiday. All MLK day is a feel good holiday to make minorities feel good. I would have voted against it too. He was not the only person in our nations history to fight against injustice what about the people who fought for woman's right to vote? What about those who fought too keep this nation together during the civil war. What about great inventors who created things that made this nation what it is today. The only reason MLK day exists is because if someone was to vote against it they would be called a racists like McCain is being called now.

Thanks to the Electoral College system, in many states the Presidential vote doesn't really matter since the outcome is known in advance. If you live in one of those states, then please take advantage of this opportunity to make a clear statement against the DemoRepub duopoly. Even if you don't, consider voting for a 3rd party candidate. It has to start sometime and I believe that Now is the time.
