I have lost hundreds of dollars to iTunes DRM back when I bought a lot of music there. They had great servers and all that crap, but then iTunes went and deleted every song I had, every game and movie, and I couldnt get it back.

The problem with this sort of politics is it only works when it mirrors the opinion of the majority of the public. It has recently worked in the UK where there is a lot of dissatisfaction in Gordon Brown and Labour in general, but here in Australia the incumbent (at the time) Liberal government tried it against Labor but it had little effect, because the then-opposition leader Kevin Rudd was considered a new and viable alternative, who was tracking well in opinion polls. If the public is as enamoured with the other candidate as it seems many people are in Obama, these sorts of politics end up being held against the party clinging to them, rather than give them any real traction.
