It looks like the best of OS X with a small bit of Vista flair with the "gadgets" on the side. It looks like a much more pleasant interface to deal with, that's for sure. I just hope they can improve the usability to match. That's the only thing I see holding back Linux.

Loophole is such a tricky term. Another way of looking at it is he is exercising his rights under the contract to the fullest. Verizon wrote the contract and Im sure there are a myriad of anti-trust laws that require them to put such clauses in understanding that 99% of people never bother to ever read the contract anyway and assume they are trapped.
